Workshop Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our large-scale workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient servicing, repair, and maintenance of our extensive fleet. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, proven management ability, and hands-on experience with heavy-duty vehicles. Minimum of 5years’ experience in heavy vehicle workshop management.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day workshop operations for a fleet of over 200 trucks.

* Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

* Supervise and mentor a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff.

* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

* Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of Volvo, Freightline, and Shacman trucks.

* Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.

* Drive continuous improvement in workshop processes and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

* Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

* Proven expertise in servicing Renault , Volvo and Shacman trucks.

* Strong knowledge of manufacture of trailers.

* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

* Ability to manage large teams and complex workshop operations.

* Proficiency in maintenance management systems and reporting tools.

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
