MARKETING OFFICER

Our client in the FMCG Manufacturing sector is looking for Marketing Officer to join their dynamic team. At least two to three years experience in marketing, promotions, digital marketing, customer engagement, trade marketing, events or brand administration. Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail or a high-volume trading environment is preferred. Demonstrated experience in supporting campaigns, activations, promotional materials, supplier follow-ups and marketing reports is an added advantage. Experience working with sales, merchandising, graphic design or promoter teams is preferred. Assists the Marketing Manager in preparing marketing plans, campaign schedules and promotional activity calendars. Gathers sales, customer, market and competitor information required for marketing planning. Provides administrative and operational support in translating approved marketing plans into executable activities. Supports implementation of approved marketing campaigns, sales promotions, trade activations and customer engagement initiatives. Supports brand visibility initiatives at customer outlets, events, exhibitions and promotional sites. Assists with preparation of social media content, customer notices, digital adverts, campaign messages and promotional updates. Co-ordinates requests for adverts, flyers, posters, banners, product brochures, shelf talkers and other marketing materials. Assists in planning and executing product launches, brand activations, exhibitions, customer days and promotional events.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: A diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Retail Management or a related field. Training in campaign management, digital marketing, customer engagement, market research, event management or brand communication is an added advantage. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, is required.
