We have been exclusively retained by our client, a well established Life, Pension and Asset Management company to assist with the recruitment and selection of a from suitably qualified and experience candidate for the position of Group Chief Executive Officer. The head of the Holding Company and responsible for overseeing the operating subsidiary companies and the strategic direction of the Group, with focus on meeting group objectives and budgets and ensure compliance with the Regulatory laws. S/he will work with the subsidiary companies’ CEOs / Responsible Persons who are already in place and will report to the Board of Directors. This position requires Licensing by the Financial Services Regulator.
                                             
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Crafting and implementing a strategic business plan and budget.
? Provide oversight to the operating subsidiaries and ensure performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
? Oversee Group Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, IT and Operations and continuously develop best practice approach. Implement governance tools to maximize performance within a robust control environment.
? Full understanding of Life Insurance, Pension and Asset Management including ability to provide guidance and intervention in each company in order to meet best practices. As a young group, candidate must be able to actively participate in business development and business improvement to provide best in class service.
? Provide strategic direction and enabling platform for growth of the subsidiaries.
? Identify and develop business relationships between the group and third parties.
? Must understand, apply and comply with the Regulatory laws and guidance, industry best practices and professional code of conduct.
? Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and internal governance and external governance requirements.
? Ensure preparation of board packs and that the Board of Directors is adequately apprised of developments of the Group.
? Shall cause the Company to be audited annually by the appointed External Auditor and regularly by the Internal Auditors and make sure the audited Financial Accounts of the company are published as per the requirements of the Financial Services Act.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:                                                                      
? Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy or Finance.
? Preferable: Master’s degree in Economics or Finance or related field. Professional certification such as ACII, ACCA, CFA, CIMA will be an advantage.
? Experience: Minimum 7 years’ professional experience in Financial Services at middle to senior level of authority. Detailed understanding of life insurance, pensions and capital markets and the Regulatory environment is essential.
