(Job location: Mvuma AND Rusape) –  A well established Agricultural entity is looking for an Farm Manager to work in Mvuma and the other Farm manager to work for farm in Rusape. You will be responsible for managing and organizing and coordinate all aspects of daily farm operations, including planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting. Coordinate schedules and monitor the work activities of the farm workers. Manage and Monitor the quality and quantity of crops. Track and document farm practices of the operation. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Schedule repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery as required. Recruit train and supervise farm workers. Assist management to prepare budgets and financial reports. Manage finances and expenditure against agreed budgets. Proven experience in farming or related agricultural management roles. Strong knowledge of farming techniques, irrigation systems, crop nutrition and crop health management. High cost control competencies. Strong delivery on crop yields and quality. Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, and make informed decisions. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in agriculture or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years of farming experience, including in-depth knowledge and experience in planting, growing and harvesting (Especially row crops and horticulture). Pivot irrigation operation and maintenance experience is a key requirement. Must be available to start immediately.
