 ( Manufacturing Industry, Harare) –  Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the above-mentioned position within the sales department. You will be responsible for managing the general trade sales for the province by visiting and engaging with the General Trade. Drafting, communicating and implementing a General Trade strategy for the province. Developing the General Trade sales by increasing the number of traders. Ensure that the Wholesale and QSR for the region is fully stocked. Address stock related challenges for the traders. Allocate stocks to traders in line with availability and strategic intent. Manage debtor accounts and ensure that the traders pay the company in line with agreed time frames. Checking merchandising and compliance, and drafting reports. Put measures to ensure that the provincial organisation complies with the prices and other issues.
 
Visit General Traders, Wholesalers and QSR institutions and communicate with the store merchandisers and Area Sales Reps and obtain product performance information. Checks on product placement (positioning, space allocation and planogram). Manages merchandising for the province and ensures that the company products are properly merchandised. Communicate price reviews to all the relevant parties. Manages credit notes by obtaining stock on hand from key accounts. Verifies the General Trade discounts and credit notes were applicable. Maintains a credit note tracker and submits monthly provisions for credit notes. Manages product mark downs by obtaining approval for all mark downs from Commercial Executive. Communicate all approved mark downs to the customers. Maintains a mark down tracker and submits monthly provisions for mark downs. Selecting, overseeing and managing the sales team for the region. Allocates duties to junior sales team, follows ups to ensure that duties are carried out correctly. Supervises, motivates and appraises performance of staff, manages absenteeism, leave liability and ensures that there is no disruption to the production process.
