FINANCE MANAGER

Our client, an established business in the transport, logistics and freight forwarding sector, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager with strong financial control, management reporting and commercial finance capabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial reporting, cash flow, working capital, compliance and financial controls, while supporting management with budgeting, analysis and commercial decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

– Preparing cash flow forecasts and managing working capital and funding requirements.

– Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial reports.

– Analysing operating costs, margins and variances and working with operational teams to improve performance.

– Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls.

– Managing year-end processes and liaising with internal and external auditors.

– Overseeing tax, statutory and regulatory compliance.

– Managing and developing the finance team.

– Supporting management with budgets, financial analysis and commercial decisions.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

– Strong financial management and reporting experience, ideally within transport, logistics, freight forwarding or another operationally intensive business.

– Sound knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance.

– Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

– High levels of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
