A well established and reputable perishable distribution organization based in Bulawayo has a position open up to fill the role of Stock Controller to join their dynamic. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory and stock management. Accurate stock counts -daily & weekly cycle counts of frozen, chilled, and ambient zones. Enforce First in First Out and First Expiry First Out, especially for dairy, meat, etc. Stock rotation-Physically move older stock to front and check expiry dates weekly. Identify excess cover more than 30 days and coordinate sharing to other branches. Reduce wastage- track expiry losses and damage, report any stock about to expire to the Operations Supervisor. Temperature and cold chain compliance. Temperature monitoring- ensure that cold-room controllers are logging in their temperatures at 2hour intervals & React to any deviations immediately. Cold room organization-Ensure proper airflow, no blocking of vents, correct and neat stacking on pallets.  Breakdown response-Escalate equipment failures ASAP. Receiving, storage & dispatch. Check quantities, batch codes, expiry, and condition vs transfer and invoice. Get stock into cold storage within 20-30 min of offloading to maintain product integrity. Team Leadership & SOPs. Train staff* on cold chain handling, hygiene, PPE, and stock rotation. Enforce compliance with food safety- Hairnets, gloves, no eating in cold rooms.

 

Qualifications : 5 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics. ‘A’ Levels is an added advantage.
