Our client specialise in the design and manufacture of environmentally responsible rigid plastic packaging for food, beverage and industrial is looking for Maintenance Fitter with at least minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in the Plastics Industry is essential (extrusion, injection and stretch blow moulding). Must have hydraulic and pneumatic experience. The incumbent will be responsible for Implementing and completing maintenance schedules and programs for each machine. Building an inventory of essential spares for all machinery to minimize downtime. Attending to mechanical breakdowns and ensuring prompt resolution. Assisting production to achieve optimum efficiencies. Advising on and implementing technical improvements where appropriate and cost-effective. Actively ensuring that all machines are serviced, cared for, and maintained appropriately. Being available for call-outs after hours. Ensuring that machines are running smoothly for night shifts. Ensure issues are resolved during the initial intervention. Track and reduce the number of comeback jobs. Monitor and manage job cards to ensure timely closure. Conducting and coordinating all maintenance on machinery and equipment.

 

 

Qualifications: Class 1 Trade Tested Fitter & Turner (incl. Machining). Diploma in Mechanical Engineering an added advantage.
