Our client is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors in FMCG seek a qualified and experienced Rigger to join the engineering department. The successful candidate will support construction and engineering projects through safe lifting, positioning, and securing heavy equipment and structural components, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. To carry out rigging, lifting, and positioning of heavy machinery, equipment, and structural components in support of construction and engineering projects, ensuring safety, precision, and adherence to SHEQ standards. Applications are invited from suitable candidates who are willing to relocate to work in Mutare OR candidates who stays within Mutare.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
. Inspecting and preparing loads for lifting, ensuring correct weight
  estimation and balance.
. Selecting and inspecting lifting gear, including slings, shackles,
   chains, hooks, and wire ropes.
. Attaching loads to cranes and other lifting equipment using
  appropriate rigging techniques.
. Directing crane operators and other lifting equipment operators
  using standard hand and radio signals.
. Ensuring proper positioning, alignment, and securing of machinery
  and structural components.
. Conducting routine inspection and maintenance checks on rigging
  equipment.
. Maintaining accurate records of lifting operations and equipment
  inspections.
. Ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards, lifting procedures, and
  construction safety regulations.
. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment within
 the construction site.
 
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
Post-School Qualification: Certificate in Rigging, Lifting Operations, or related Engineering/Construction trade.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Rigger in construction, engineering, or industrial environments.
