Our client is seeking a competent and experienced Tyre Foreman to join our transport workshop team in Mutare. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising tyre inspection, repair, maintenance, and replacement activities to ensure optimal fleet availability, safety, and operational efficiency of the company’s vehicle fleet. Applications are invited from suitable candidates who are willing to relocate to work in Mutare OR candidates who stays within Mutare.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect truck tyres for pressure levels, tread depth, wear patterns,
  valve condition, and overall tyre health.
• Identify tyre faults caused by suspension, alignment, or
  operational wear and report findings to supervisors.
• Ensure all trucks are fitted with properly inflated spare tyres and
  that wheel nuts are secure and torqued correctly.
• Repair and replace tyres in accordance with manufacturer
  specifications and vehicle repair standards.
• Recommend tyre repair or replacement based on wear patterns
  and operational safety requirements.
• Perform tyre rethreading for trucks and off-road vehicles where
  applicable.
• Install new tyres and carry out tyre changeovers as required.
• Balance tyres and perform wheel alignment procedures.
• Respond to tyre-related roadside breakdowns and provide
  emergency support.
• Monitor tyre diagnostic equipment and ensure proper maintenance
  and calibration.
• Maintain accurate records of tyre maintenance and complete job
  cards for all work performed.
• Supervise and guide tyre fitters to ensure productivity and
  compliance with workshop standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental
  regulations in the tyre section.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workshop
   environment.
• Strong supervisory and team coordination skills.
• Carry out any other related duties as assigned by management.
 
Qualifications & Experience
• At least 5 O Levels including Mathematics and English.
• Certificate in Tyre Fitting or related mechanical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a workshop or heavy vehicle
   maintenance environment.
• Experience using tyre diagnostic equipment will be an added
  advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  standards.
• Ability to respond effectively to breakdown situations.
