Our client is a leading supplier of high-quality seeds and agricultural inputs based in Harare is looking for Marketing & Operations Manager with at least 5-7 years relevant experience and 3 years in senior role. The position exist to enhance the marketing and sale of seed products in the most proficient manner that provides value to the shareholder and develop the company`s sales and marketing policies and strategies, and conduct research and development in a way that that will increase revenue through the development and maintaining of business on behalf of the organisation and develop a strategic marketing perspective which is based on the market expectations in order to meet company objectives. Understand the strategic direction of the business and develop operations and marketing strategies in support of the business mandate and implement accordingly. Ensure full understanding of the respective strategies by all in the division and participate in the quarterly business unit reviews. Monitors adherence to set policies, procedures at the head office to ensure compliance and best practice. Participate in the biannual business unit reviews, capture the strategic issues to be followed up and ensure implementation. Execute and implement strategies, policies and procedures in support of the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Budgeting and cost control. Prepare divisional budget in liaison with the finance department for adequate planning and ensure approval by CEO. Provide divisional financial information required for the budget and ensures full involvement of the divisions team in the budget formulation process to ensure that all expected expenditures are well planned for. Prepare Operations and Marketing budget preparation, approval, and review process in order to match stipulated budget against expenditure. Review actual expenditure against budget and make recommendations for possible action as well as institutes budgetary control in the division and reports any deviations from budget. Organise promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success. Develop relevant communication strategies that are relevant to increase brand visibility to the clients/ customers. Manage procurement procedures, production and deployment of marketing materials as a way to increase sales. Development and improvement of packaging, display of seed, merchandising, indoor and outdoor branding, staff branding, customer and service branding. Media and Stakeholder Engagement.
Qualifications: Degree in Marketing or equivalent. Corporate Membership to a relevant Professional Body is an added advantage.
